At the Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Sunday mass is celebrated at 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and the weekly mass, from Tuesday to Friday, at 4:00 PM. At 3:00 PM, there is the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, followed by the daily rosary at 3:30 PM, with a chaplain available for confession for those who wish.
The confraternity of “Santa Luzia”, in addition to the Pilgrim’s Shelter/Hostel, offers the public a café/bar, a souvenir shop, as well as the dome and an elevator for those who want to enjoy a unique view of the region; the ascent to the dome, the highest point (250m above sea level), can be made partially by elevator, or on foot, climbing 168 steps inside the sanctuary.
Access to this Sanctuary can be made on foot, by car, or via the Santa Luzia Funicular. Those who choose to go on foot have the staircase with 659 steps; choosing the Funicular, you will travel a distance of 650 meters, with a height difference of 160 meters, in a pleasant journey lasting 7 minutes.
